Showing his “true colours” Oliver Klatt explores with René the challenges of “staying in the middle of the road” in light of one’s own convictions and potential contradictions. When dealing with students clarity of a teacher’s boundaries is essential. Personal believes, such as the believe in god should not get in the way and be imposed onto others. When a teacher is on the receiving end of compliments or even of projections and expectations amounting to transference, it is essential to be clear about what is being communicated. In relationships commitment is an essential element in the context of the topic ‘integrity’.
Oliver Klatt is a well known Reiki personality with an impressive track record of publications and international recognition. As co-founders of the German professional Reiki association he and René met and had had heated arguments over the last decade. In this conversation the discussants discovered many points of accordance, to the extent that Oliver exclaimed “I’m surprised” and concludes at the end “this was the best talk we ever had together”.
Biography
Oliver Klatt was born in 1967, has practiced the Usui System of Reiki since 1994. He passes on the knowledge that he has acquired over many years as a Reiki master in his Reiki seminars as well as in his books and lectures. He received a Master of Arts Degree upon concluding his studies in journalism, film and television at the Freie Universität Berlin. In 2000, he received the Reiki master initiation by Paul David Mitchell, in the lineage Usui – Hayashi – Takata – Mitchell. Since 2008 he is the publisher of the German Reiki Magazin. He is a co-founder of the German professional association ProReiki. Oliver’s life and work is marked by intensive personal development and a lively exchange with masters and students throughout the world. With his synergy oriented work he opens a space for the integration of contemporary influences as well as for maintaining traditional aspects.
Publications
Oliver is the author of ‘Reiki Systems of the World’, the first book worldwide that deals with an open cooperation of all different Reiki styles. He also wrote several other books about Reiki and different spiritual topics, including an interview book with Eckhart Tolle. Books and essays of him have been translated into seven languages.
