In 2017 Berthy Cambier and Dr. Jojan Jonker started to organise the 100 year Celebration Congress. 2020 was a game-changer in ever so many ways and lead to the cancellation of the noble plans.
We at reiki-conciliation supported and advocated the Congress. In the below video* René Vögtli expresses gratitude to the organisers and looks ahead to the future which has the promise of festivities yet to come. In 2022 and beyond!
2017
After the release of the videos RECONCILIATION and 66 steps Dr. Jojan Jonker made the observation that the process of reconciliation is a visionary path without a finite goal. Whereas the 100 year Reiki Celebration Congress is a goal without a path. He suggested: “Let’s work together!”

Reiki people from all styles come from all over the world and step towards each other. Each in his own right and identity. The final one person who will be the one to close the circle, the final link, would be a direct Japanese descendant symbolically giving Mikao Usui’s blessing that all are one in the unity of reiki. In 2022 in Japan.
March 2021 – The cancellation
“It is with sadness in our hearts that we have to inform you that the Celebration Congress 2022 is cancelled.”
Thus starts the letter from the organisers to those who had wanted to join the Congress as participants or as speakers. And yes, this feeling is understandable. Berthy and Jojan share their experience in the last years and explain some of the circumstances. And that they look forward to celebrating on Mount Kurama in May 2022.
