The Universe doesn’t judge what we’re creating. The responsibility for our thoughts and actions is solely with us. While Olivia is steadfast with her proposition ’wherever we focus our attention, we get more of the same’, René questions this simplification.
Whether or not we have bought into the subject we have seen, heard, learned or experienced; everything is stored in our subconscious minds. All we can do is set the unwanted subject to one side and decide to focus our attention on something else that we prefer. René suggests that the substitution of a negative thought with a presumably positive one, as is often done with affirmations, leads also to an unhappy end if it is charged with expectation. At this point, Olivia makes the valid point:
We have to feel what we’re saying until it touches our deep knowing.
When we raise our vibrational frequency; we are fine-tuning our communication with the Universe. Olivia likens this with a Wi-Fi and with getting a clearer reception; then we are aware of guidance that we call ‘intuition’. Furthermore, we are in touch with our moral values that we were born with. The simplest way to raise our energy level is by having a good attitude about the subject we are focusing on.
Olivia emphasizes that we have a physical and spiritual side to ourselves and that we have to take care of; we cannot be all material nor all spiritual. When we nurture our holistic being as one from a high energy level, we perceive and experience the material world and our lives from a more positive vantage point. We are here to live this human experience so it’s o.k. to want material things which Olivia calls the jumping off point that leads us to a higher level of creation. Her own journey took her from a place of wanting material things to a place of believing, and from there to trusting and eventually to reach a place of knowing.
What the Universe gives us is always better than what we want.
To exemplify her views, Olivia shares two recent experiences: She unexpectedly found herself in situations wherein there were no solutions. She kept a good attitude, until the moment came when she felt that something had pushed her to take certain actions that naturally brought about unexpected and amazing results.
So, it is not about what is happening, it is about our attitude to what is happening that is important.
Biography
Olivia Veloso was born in the Philippines, lived in Spain since her early teens and moved to Arizona in 2007. A Reiki Master of different systems for over 26 years; she has been called a pioneer, a facilitator and is known to touch lives.
Since 2000, Olivia has traveled widely all over the world to teach and to give treatments. Furthermore, she has also been a part of the organizing teams of international Reiki conferences. She is a sponsoring supporter of the Usui Reiki 2022 Kyoto Convention, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Reiki on August 12th to 14th – see 2022 Global Celebration Events.
To unite and encourage her students, Olivia recently established Gendai Reiki Ho Oneness.
She is also qualified in other holistic fields; to name a few: NLP, Hypnotherapy, Feng Shui, Reflexology and other massage techniques and healing modalities.
