RTalk 'My mission' - Ryoko Julia

30 April 2021

The two discussants did not know each other beforehand and are coming from different origins, traditions and world-views. Yet, few points of contention can be found in this episode of RTalk but “profound reflections on having peace within yourself, on authenticity and mission” (a viewer).

Originally, Mr Hiroshi Doi of Japan was invited to be guest. A frail state of health led him to decline the invitation. When asked if he had a successor, he pointed out that “talented masters have been born all over the world” and he gave the names of two ladies who amongst themselves decided that Ryoko Julia would be the RTalk guest.

Ryoko talks about the challenges she has gone through, including racism as an Asian woman in America. This process has brought her face-to-face with her calling in life, her mission. The teaching of holistic healing and the aiding, in particular, an individual’s spiritual unfolding is central to that mission. She is firmly committed to building bridges amongst cultures and within communities so as to not be separated but to combine values of people’s lives.

“If each one of us works on ourselves … that will really change the world to a better place. “

An atmosphere of confidence is captivating the viewer as Ryoko expresses her conviction that issues can be overcome if we truly look at ourselves and that consequently, it is possible to solve all issues. The authenticity of such convictions becomes noticeable when she describes how she found her mission despite the struggles in life, how she strove for freedom of the need to compare and ensuing feeling of envy. Her mission of teaching is preceded by the process of making peace within oneself and the dream being that anybody can do that which in turn amounts to her ultimate dream.

“Making peace with yourself … equals to reconciliation with yourself ; then you will make peace with other people or other systems, other groups.”
